Pre-orders let you reserve upcoming 1/12 scale releases before they arrive — and with our system, you pay nothing at checkout. Here's exactly how it works.
Reserve now, pay on arrival
When you place a pre-order, your total shows the item's price but your payment method is not charged. We charge it only when the item physically arrives at our shop and is ready to ship to you.
What happens after you order
- You place the pre-order. Checkout confirms your reservation at the listed price.
- We keep you posted. Release dates come from the manufacturers and can move; we pass along what we know.
- The item arrives. We charge your payment method on file for the item and its shipping.
- It ships within 3 business days, the same turnaround as our in-stock orders, with tracking emailed automatically.
If a release slips or is cancelled
Manufacturer dates move more often than anyone would like, and occasionally a run is cancelled outright. Because nothing was charged up front, a delay costs you nothing but patience and a cancellation costs you nothing at all — there is no refund to chase, because there was never a payment to reverse.
Pre-orders and in-stock items in one cart
Pre-order items ship separately from in-stock items, and shipping is calculated separately for each — your in-stock parts don't wait around for a release date. If you'd rather accumulate several orders and ship them together, our Shop Now, Ship Later program does exactly that.
Pre-orders and Insider Rewards
One thing worth knowing: percentage reward codes do not apply to pre-orders. Milestone codes do, and a pre-order still counts toward your lifetime order total and your spend for the year — it simply does not take the percentage discount. Full terms are on the rewards page.
